My 96 sp500 has only been running on 3 wheels. The front left side doesn't kick in. One of my friends said something about a nut inside the hub that he got replaced. What do you guys think i should look for. Also when you are driving normally and have the four wheel drive button pushed in, should all wheels spin all the time, or should just the rear until you loose traction and have the others kick in? HELP!

My neighbors had a problem like that on their Xplorer, I think it was the wire that runs to the hub...

What... did the whole wire have to be replaced or was there just a bad connection.

check and /or change your hub fluid. thats the most common of problems. if that not the problem, track down the wiring to the hub. but my money is on the fluid!

This topic comes up all the time. Try a search, you will find a lot. Try searching for "hub" "not engaging" "no awd" that kind of thing.

The neighbor kid knocked the wire off I guess after riding through some very, very thick brush.....
