I have a set of "shorty" screwdrivers-- they are no more than 1/2" long. They work great on my DRZ's Mikuni, with very limited clearance.

Yea I think I'm going to look around for some short screwdrivers at the auto parts store or some where before I take the carb off.

Generally if you are rich on the pilot you can tell my hammering the throttle, if it bogs and then gets going, usually too rich on the pilot...

try an auto parts store for a carb screw driver. its got a long handle with a **** at the end to turn it, with a 90 degree turn up at the driver end. thats what we use in the shop to adj carbs. this way you can adjust and watch your tach to get the idle mix adjustment right. dont forget tho that this is only idle mix. if the jetting is still rich you may have some bog just off idle becasue the pilot is still affecting the mix until about 1/8 or so throttle, then the needle and needle jet takes over.
