gardner

I hear you on that one. Seems like every hobby that I have, some lawyer or liberal politican wants to take it away. When my guns and atvs are gone, I have no idea what for hobbies will still be legal. I am going to draft up an email to this clown. If nothing more, we are wasting his precious time answering our email and he won't be spending time banning atv's. I owned one of these so called death machines. The awe powerful 90 atc. The machine was safe if operated properly. The problems came with parents buying their 10 year old kid a 250r and letting him ride it unsupervised. Now who is to blame. The stupid parents or the atc manufacturer.

Why don't snakes bite lawyers? Professional courtesy.

Here's what he sent me back.

Dear Dave:

When the policeman, fireman,or truck driver ends up a paraplegic from riding on Firestones, who are they going to call? Do they call Dave? Or mayber someone who is going to help them get adequately compensated. When the freight handler put oxygen canisters in the AirFlorida plane that exploded and caused 110 deaths should we blame the passengers for getting on the wrong plane? By the way what does Dave do to help society?

The next time a policeman arrests someone without justification or a drunk driver runs into your car, think about calling a firman to help you out.

Best wishes

Robert S. Bennett

Here's my reply :

Mr. Bennett,

When the policeman or firefighter get hurt or killed from riding on Firestones, I should hope that they would call a reputable
attorney. That is provided that they did not know of the danger before hand. If they knew of the danger, they should take responsibility for thier own irresponsible actions.

I have seen some of the replies to other e-mails that you have gotten. You mention Firestone in every one of them. Is that all you've got ?

As to the question "What does Dave do to help society ?" Dave is a lowly skilled tradesman. Not college educated, not from a rich family. I do not live as well as you. However, I can sleep at night, knowing that I have not taken anything that was not due me. Have you heard any good jokes about tradesmen lately ? Society is very hostile against us electricians. Bet you're glad you're a lawyer, huh ?

By the way, you had no comment about the class action lawsuit question that I asked.

What do you possibly hope to gain, if you are successful in banning the production of ATVs' ? I believe that you have picked a cause that you know that you can never really affect, but can continue to get contributions from, God knows who.

You are of the same ilk that we get our politicians from. Doesn't that make you proud ? Why do you feel that you have to protect us from ourselves ? We are smart enough to read the warnings and take the necessary precautions. If we get hurt, we have done it to ourselves. PERIOD. The people who know about the dangers, ignore them, and get killed or maimed, will hopefully remove themselves from the gene pool in this accident before he gets a chance to call you, and get paid for being stupid and doing something he knew he shouldn't.

Thank you for replying. I had a low opinion of you before, and has been reinforced by your reply.

Dave

Mr.Bennett,
In 1995 i was riding my atv on an open field, its was about dusk at the time i was riding. I left home KNOWING the the wheel bearings were bad in my front right wheel. As i was riding across the field at a high rate of speed the wheel came off of the atv and i was thrown off of it. The Atv flipped 9 time before landing on its wheels.
Should i try and sue the manufactuer of the atv? NO, it was my own stupidy that made me ride the ATV even though I KNEW that is was not in sound condition.
What im trying to prove to you is that IT IS NOT THE ATV'S FAULT, Its some of the STUPID people in this world..I.E. parents that buy there 10 year old a VERY HIGH PERFORMANCE ATV and let them ride unsupervised. Oh and my 1998 FORD EXPOLRER has FIRESTONE WILDERNESS ATs on it and if they come apart i dont think im going to try and sue firestone,,

Thanks for your time,

The problem with Firestones on Fords may be the recommended air pressure . They recomend low pressure to insure a good ride . The tires then in rare instances , heat and separate. Ford may be found liable . Just a note .

lawyers reply:
There is no advertising like free advertising. I can keep e-mailing on the
way to the bank. Kawasaki just recalled 47,000 four wheelers due to faulty
drive belts.Numerous riders have been hurt. they sure are not going to call
you to represent them.
my rply back:
you just proved what everyone thought about lawyers..your only in it for the money..maybe you should advertise that slogan on your website? that would be a way to get potential clients..or maybe us atv enthusuaists should start a web site with slogans like that from lawyers like you? have anuice day and good luck with your pathetic ways as i said you prved it..

express their opinions"

His response to my e-mail was about Firestone, nicotine in cigarettes, and asbestos. My response to him was that I didn't think that they should stop the manufacture of all tires just because of the one bad apple. I also told him that Firestone will hire a lawyer, pass the buck, and blame someone else for the problem. Rather then stand up and take responsibility. I also said that no one put a gun to anyones head and said "smoke". Those people will have to live with their bad choices. But instead of living with their bad choice, smokers and their relatives will hire a lawyer, pass the buck, blame someone else, and try to get rich! I don't believe that the tobacco companys should be held accountable for that either.

70% of the world lawyers population live in the USA............!!!!!!1
Some are greedy animals/trial lawyers suing tobacco made BILLIONS not milions/ Mrs.Clintons brother was one of them. There,s lots of greedy reg.people who are as bad as them and lots of decent lawyers who are here, when we really need them. Mr. anti ATV lawyer seems to be a desperate one.
I would also blame a judge who takes such a absurd case/McDonalds coffee case/.But many judges are old, senile,no common sense 80 years old men.Just like some senators.Their only worry is not to wet their pants.
How about the jury and their decisions? Finall decision is theirs after all.Scary, very scary.
