800 sportsman gas hog!!!!!!!!
In colorado Last weekend, I was surprised to see the EFI 760 Polaris was using the exact same amount of fuel as my 700 Kawi. Every time we filled the quads tanks up into the neck and evey time we refueled they took the exact same amount of fuel after riding the exact same amount of miles and types of trails. We got between 22-25mpg every time. We ran 5 full tanks of fuel through them each last week in colorado.

No offence taken just stating what I have gotten, I have no reason to make up stories. My riding was open fairly flat terrain some road but not all, no low range. Speeds varied but average was probably 30 to 35mph with nothing over 50. I've not gotten less than 16mpg to this point at just over 900 miles, first tank was alittle over 17. I checked right away to figure my range, I've repeatedly rode over 60 miles without the low fuel warning flashing. It wasn't flashing when I run the 77 mile trip but with only .3 gallon left it had to be close, I was very surprised it went that far but it shows they are capable of reasonable mileage in the right conditions. I'm not generally hard on the throttle unless need be so that makes a huge difference also.....

If it was built out of Heavy guage high grade plastic to fuel cell specs you could also strap your gear on top of the tank and still have use of the rack. Probably 5 gallons of fuel could be added that way...

after putting on near 700 miles on the 800 the best i ever got was about 16 which was crusing around 30 mph. w/ no horseing around and no mud. i dont beleave that you can get any fuel mileage out of the 800 if you are playing w/ it at all. you folks that say you get 80 to 100 miles on a tank must be all a steady speed and not playing in the mud or in bad trerain.
