I currently have a 04.5 500 HO and love it. I want to get either a 05 700 efi or wait till 06's come out and see if the 500's come in efi. My ? is.... Is the 700 as proven as the 500? Will the 700 engine hold up as well as the 500? How long has the 700 engine been used in atv's? What would you do? The 500 is plenty strong as I need but would love to have efi. Thanks.

 

So far the 700's have done real good and they came out in 02. If the 500 has plenty of power for you I would wait and see if the have the 500efi in 06.

 

Thanks sportsmann 70003. Do you feel the 700 is as good as the 500? Would you buy the 700 again if had too? Anything you don't like about the 700? What about trail riding, Is it easy as the 500 to steer?

The 500 is proven to be one of the best atv's out there. If I had to do it over again I would still get the 700 over the 500 just for the power. My friend has a 99 500 and mine is easier to steer than his. I can't think of anything I dislike about the 700.

 

Based on what you said I would wait for the 2006 500 efi.

Well it will be hard not to have an atv for the summer. Is it done sold if not you might want to keep it till the 06's come out. If you sell it and can't wait and want the efi I would get the 700.

 

What would be a fair price for a 04.5 500 HO in camo. I can't give it away but want to be fair. Its in good shape

 

Not for sure but you can go to www.nada.com or www.kbb.com and look it up.
