how many miles does your polaris have
#33
Have they ever owned a Polaris? If not, they're probably going off of what they've heard and want to razz you; either that or they're just jealous that they don't own one!

OK guys here it is a 2002 Sportsman 500HO with 5612 miles. One new primary clutch, and two rear cv boots and a full set of brake pads. Oh yea and 3 sets of tires. Can't say enough good about the machine but I bought a 1997 500 to use to keep from putting all the miles on the 2002 that I bought new. I average 15 miles a day, every day. We use them for ranch work and they hold up to the abuse great.

3600 miles on my 2004. One Belt. One circut breaker. Two Battery's (too much winching is bad). 3 CV boots (sticks). I think Elkbow might have a shot at my ratio for miles over time. Sure glad Polaris puts a nice soft seat on 'em.

Had '03 sp600-traded in with around 1200 miles, one rear c-v boot (my fualt-backed into a tree branch), hard start/poor running cold-performed carb update and then it ran great. other than that just normal maintenance. Heard that the new owner has put over 1,000
additional miles on it with no problems.
-have '05 sp700 efi-only 45 miles on it, no problems yet-waiting for spring to come!
-'04 Trailboss-600 miles-new battery under warranty-otherwise no Problems, just oil changes!
-'03 predator 90-no odometer-but likely at least as many miles as trail boss! Probably more! No problems at all! Just normal
maintenance-cleaning/lubing/adjusting chain, checking all fastners to be sure they are tight, replaced fouled spark plug after initial
break in, than agin this winter just because, but it looked fine(My youngest son only knows two speeds, stop and wide open!)

Your friends sound like they know what they are talking about, my buddy has a polaris and had nothing but problems. I would never own one to be perfectly honest. I own a 2004 Honda Rincon and have 3800 kms, no probs. I only settle for the best thats why i ride red.
