Missing water and antifreeze
#1
I have been noticing for some time now that the level in my coolant recovery bottle has been dropping. When I bought it it was at the max when the engine was cold or hot. Then about six months later I noticed the level would slowly drop more and more. When the engine was cold it was between max and min. Today I get on it and the level was at min when cold but as always once warm the level would rise. Well I check the oil today and it is a little milky and well past full. I know after my last service it was dead on full and not overfilled and no milky look. This is a 04.5 SP 500. I bought it last year the last of May or the first of June and it has about 425 miles on it. What is the warranty on polaris without me looking for my paperwork and what could this be. If it is something major is it still under warranty. It has never been overheated that I know of or I didn't get any warning signs if it did. Please help a worried SP owner with this problem. Thank's in advance.

Warranty is only 6 months. If the oil is milky, bring it back to the dealer and raise hell. Can't hurt to complain, just to it tactfully. If they won't help you, the fix may be as simple as retorquing the head.
