Default drain hose??

I have a 04 Polaris Sportsman 600 and there is a drain tube that is going no where. It is routed behind the left rear shock and sticks out the bottom of the frame. Does anyone know where this is supposed to go? Right now it is just hanging there behind the shock. I couldn't find a drain anywhere close to where it is located. I noticed that it might be for the rear storage compartment since it looks like that has a drain with no hose coming out of it but the hose wouldn't reach. Did I lose half of this hose somewhere?
Let me know.
Thanks

wildwilly is right. That hose is coming off the battery cover. I would imagine that it is routed under the quad so that acid from the battery would be sure not to touch and corrode the frame or other sensitive parts if it were to overflow. I had to go out to the garage to make sure. Just take your seat off and look at the side of the battery cover. ya can't miss it.
