scrambler parts list
#4
scramblerjer,
Unfortunatly you have the old style tie-rod ends which are prone to wear out prematurely (not a good excuse I know) but Polaris upgraded them on 2000 models so they are improving things. When you replace them you will get the new style however they are pricey. As for the airbox I`ve never heard of that happening to anyone.
Living in western NY a lot of the terrain we ride is muddy and rocky. Not easy on equipment. Prevenative maintenance goes a long way toward ensuring long life of parts. I just replaced the ones on my 98 this past spring. I ride all the nasty rides too like Cochranton, Salamanca, Humphrey and so on plus some laps around a mx track every now and then.
I had a Warrior for 6 years before I got my Scrambler purchased both new and have had the same results with each "great machines". Look up and read the thread "YOUR RESULTS MAY VERY'.
I don`t mean to preach, but some of us Polaris owners would rather not be compared to the "others".
