2000 scrambler chang the jet needle position to clear up a rich midrange and piston failed after 50 miles. Has anyone had this experience?

What do you mean failed? Did it stick, or did the piston come apart? If the piston came apart and there is no Aluminum scoring on the cylinder wall it sounds like a bad piston and not a lean stick.

Happens all the time. Especially to two strokes that have been tuned to the max and the owner wants to tweak it some more.

Snowmobilers are notorious for seized engines.

ARCTIC-CAT has spent the last two years engineering for minimal seizures with the poor grades of ethanol fuels that are so widely available in Minnesota.

An engineer told me to run premium fuel in all of my two stroke engines to help eliminate the poor fuel problem.
