I have the stock carb off of my 400 Sport and was wondering if that carb would be a good upgrade for a 250 trailblazer. I believe the 250 has a 30 Mikuni while the 400 has the 34 Mikuni. Will the swap go without hitch or will it take some modification? I have a friend that is trying to get some more performance out of his 250 for his son.

 

Yes it can be done but you will have to do some jet changes. I know there are a few people
on here that have done this but I believe that 2manytoys has the most experience.

 

Is the 250 all stock? If so it may be to much for the stock machine. You would atleast have to get a pipe with K&N filter. The stock pipe is very restrictive and with the bigger carb, more fuel, and more air it cant breath. There are a few things that you have to use off of the 30mm to make the 34mm work. It will also slide in the stock intake boots with a little dish soap.

 

My friend just bought a clutch kit and full exhaust. I will probably just give him the carb to help out, but I am the only one around my town that has a polaris and has done any mods so I was putting this stuff on for him. Thought the carb might help out some. I figured the boot would be tight on the 34 mikuni but should squeeze on. Just wanted to make sure that it was a fairly easy changeover.
