Default orange spring

I installed a orange spring on my scrambler 400. The question is when I got to take off it takes about 1/8 to 1/4 throttle before I can feel the belt engage and the tires grab. Is this normal or will I have to replace the tranny down the road? Or is the belt slipping a bit. The belt is about 2 to 3 years old but doesn't look bad. Just want to prepare myself if I need to have the tranny rebuilt. Start saving my pennies or should I say my dollars.

That is normal......I had one in my Scrambler. It's like a stall converter in a Drag car. I took mine back out, I just used it drag racing only.

Thanks for the response RAJ. I was starting to worry about the tranny. I will take it out for a hard ride tomorrow to see if I like it or not.
