I have a 2001 Sportsman 500 and the Brake light stays on all the time. It just started doing it this last week. Any ideas on were to start? Thanks

 

Is it the bright brake light or just the rear tail light? The rear light is always on for safety, but gets brighter when the hand brake is applied. There is not a brake light signal when using the auxillary foot brake. Only the hand brake.

 

Yes I know of the taillight. its definitely the brake light staying on! I thought maybe I had just got something wet from playing in the swamp, but it has been in the garage for almost a week and it still stays on!
