Default help with a 02 tb please!!!!

glad to give out some info! When I checked my ring end gap in the cylinder after I took it apart, both
rings were .040th, the serv. manual said they should be .009 to .018th so the rings were worn, but
cylinder looked real good, I went with a bore job & over sized wiesco anyway. It had an art piston
in it from the factory. the bike had about 125+ hrs. It went out with my scrammy on most rides & the scrammy has 135hrs on it. so it was time. next time if all looks good, I plan on a just a hone job & new rings. we just got back from a 46mi. ride in Baldwin, MI. it ran great & started as quick as the key was turned!!!!

rebuild the motor bud. the same same exact thing happened to me, same symptons you got and everything. If you can get it to start, ride it for about 30 mins and then check the compression. If the motor needs rebuilding the compression will be low. hope this helps
