help with a 02 tb please!!!!
#1
My 250 tb has a starting problem, after I ride it & it is warmed up, then 10 mins. later try & restart it,
it does not want to start, I have removed the carb. put in a new needle & seat , float level was good,
checked the spark with a spark indicator after it was warmed up & it has spark, changed plugs, still no
luck. Cold it starts as quick as I can turn the key! when running it runs great with no problem at all.
thanx for any help.

I raised the clip one position it seem to help, but it was still hit or miss on if it was going to start,so I
opened the air screw to 2 1/4 turns open then it was better, when the temps out warm up that will
be the real test. thanx for the help!

Hey, I haven't had this problem but here are some generic things. Try turning off the fuel petcock right after use. Is your fuel tank venting properly? Try pull starting hot starter might not be spinning fast enough. Have you had any issues with the reverse limiter it cuts your ignition, possible temp issue there also. Is there free play in your choke cable? Are your air filters clean? Good luck!!

thanx drlang, OK the air filter is a new unifilter, did same thing with the old stock filter, the choke cable
seems alright but I will check it out more, the reverse limiter was unhooked for awhile then hooked back
up to see if it would help, pull start will get it started sometimes but not very easily after cranking on it
with the elec. start, cranking speed seems good even after it is warm, but I don'tknow for sure that it is 100% up to speed, I opened the gas cap to see if that would help, if there was a tank vent issue it
didn't help, shutting off the petcock I will try, u gave me some good ideas!!

Hey dirtsnow. I noticed that our Trailblazers start up easier if you give it a bit of gas when they are warm. When they are cold, we give no gas, just choke it.

Yes, I noticed that too,it would start right up when I would give it a little gas, that worked before this problem came up, now it acts like it wants to start, but it just doesn't make it, thanx Bryce

When you are giving it a little throttle, you are off the throttle safety switch. Which takes me back to the reverse limiter, does the machine idle weird sometimes? Is this a four stroke? Have you checked your valve lash? Have you tried stariting in neutral? How good is the belt? Good luck again!
