I'm not sure if the gear comes off or not I just replaced the starter and bendix on my 03 700. I bought mine from Mohawks salvage on ebay they were new take offs. The starter was $125.00 & the bendix was $79.00.

I like my modified muffler I think it compares to the AAEN slip on I had on before it. They both gave me the same amount of power.

Nice pict Bill.

Check http://polarisoemparts.com for the OEM replacement parts for a discount price.
Also check http://mfgsupply.com for the starter parts.

I'm not sure if they have the 700 starter but they have others at $105 , bendix $60 and brush rebuild kit for $50.
