Polaris Buggy!?!?
Yeah, they had an article about them a couple months ago in Dirtwheels. I am suprised that they buy whole quads to make these things. Seems like they couple work out a deal for just parts.
I am debating on wether to try to build a custom frame similar to an HPD race chassis, or to build a buggy like the old Honda Pilots. I would like to find a Pilot, but those things are still crazy expensive.

Yes I've seen those before. I emailed that company and also asked them what they do with the leftover parts from the wheelers that they take apart and use to build those. They told me that if you need part such as front drive and such, parts they dont use, to call them up and they'll sell them. Not sure if they'd be cheaper then polaris or not..

I have heard about them but never seen any pictures of them. I really like the 800EFI version in the top picture, the beefy wheels and tires make it look sweet. I agree that they should buy just the powertrains and needed parts but then again I bet they make more than enough on the parts alone to cover what they didn't use and for $17K for a ridgerunner I would say they are making a darn good profit. It would be sweet to have one to play with though, wouldn't be able to go into some of the tight spots I usually go through but man get that thing out into the open and give her hell.
