Has anyone tried Progressive's adjustable spring kit. I have read an article about them but would like some real world feed back. I am looking for a setup on my Scrambler where the first three inches or so of travel are much softer than stock and then stiffen up to stock after that. I also thought about running dual rate springs. Does anyone know of a company that sells them for polaris machines and possibly what the stock spring rate is?

I have them on my polaris xpedition 425 cc 5 speed. My 26 inch mudbugs were rubbing on the fenders. this releived the problem. they work fine. I bought them from highlifter and had a polaris shop put them on for me. rangerchet

I dont know about the springs but from the article in ATV sport it didn't sound all that impressive. Go w/ the Works progessive rate struts for ~$260, I rode them & it's exactly what your looking for. They ride great.

How much did they improve your ride? I have 26" Outlaws and they also rub the fenders. I want the springs but I don't want to spend a lot of money on something that doesn't improve the bike.
Thanks
Rick

This is the info that WORKSSHOCKS@AOL.COM sent me the other week:
I think we do all the struts for the Polaris, there are two lengths. $229pr
They are air adjustable usually about 20-40lbs and use the stock spring.
They must be pulled out of the lower mount to change the air pressure.
Build time sould be very short, less than 2 wks. The shocks are very
rebuildable and can be made very aggressive with just a few lbs of air
pressure. Sandy

Sounds to me like they would work well both for those looking to gain more clearance and those looking for the cushy ride. I know there on my have to get list!
