Where did you get the axel? I was getting quotes of a lot more than that for a stock Polaris axel. Don't mind doing the work myself.

I have seen a dura-blue on ebay a couple different times for the scrambler. You can straighten the axle yourself. You need two v-blocks a dial indicator and a press. Support the axle at the ends and dial indicate the center while you spin it. Mark the highs and press it there. Or support the axle at the bearing surfaces and measure the ends. Press the high spots. It takes time checking and rechecking measuring and remeasuring.

My riding buddies ride 400 4x4 scrammys and they ride and jump hard and never broke an axle.I have seen scramblers cartwheel and not break an axle. I have seen them bend but not break. I have nailed a tree hard at the right rear going fast and only bent the axle and not the wheel. Go figure.
