500 v 700 v 800
The 500ho, 600, and 700 carb are exactly the same until about 50mph when the twins pull ahead. The 600 and 700 may as well be the same quad; can't tell a difference. My group has all of them including the 800. The 800 does have alot more bottom end grunt than the 600 and 700 carb. None of us have the 700 efi so I can't comment on that one.
BTW, msrp for the 2005 600 is $6999. Just checked the Polaris page.

A friend has a '05 500 HO and another a 700 EFI.
Like I said, the 700 jumps right out in front by about a quad and a half length until about 30-40 mph, the lead stays the same to about 50 mph where the 700 MAY start pulling away more, our races were only up to about 50 mph. Multiple times.

A 500 HO will not stay with an EFI 700.If it does there's something wrong with the 700.I run all the time with a 500 HO in our group and its like comparing a Pinto to Porsche.Even comparing a carbed 7 to a EFI 7 its two different classes!!The only bikes that will outperform the 700 is a Brute Force, low end grunt only, weighs almost 160ish lbs. less and an 800 and even that isn't by anything drastic!Its good bang for the buck and I would recommend a 700 EFI TO anyone.

its all about CC's I love my 800.I only heard one real bad experiance with the 800 and that was it blew up. However the dealer fixed the issue. If you are talking about soft suspension that is on all the quads. The bottom end power is awsome. The top end is crazy also at 70mph.....

700 EFI has been great for me.... each time I go out, I think... do I need more power? NO. would I want less power?, NO.
Size wise, its big, carry's a lot of gear, but its not oversized by any means... you should go to your Polaris dealer and test drive all of them, and see what suits YOU. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]
