500 v 700 v 800
I am looking to buy a new fourwheeler...WE currently have a 95 explorer 99 magnum 500 and 03 700 i want to get a new wheeler...i am not going to get a 700 i dont think...from the sounds of it the new 800's are also prone to have problems...so i am leaning to just a gold ole sportsman 500ho i would like some input on these fourwheelers from some other people...please give me your opinion on them

Why leave out the 600? More power than the 500, better fuel milage than a 700, and a solid quad. I havent had a lick of trouble out of mine. If I had it to do all over, I would either go back to the 600 or a 700 EFI. I just dont understand why ppl always leave out the 600.

BigDog800EFI, you hit the nail on the head. Polaris is dropping the SP600 for next year. Several people on here have confirmed this. Also, if you notice that Polaris never put the price of the 05 600 on their website. I wonder why. It looks like there is a 500efi for 06. Lets have some fun!

The 500 is the most proven but the 700 has given me very few problems and nothing to do with how it runs or the motor itself.
The 700 feels to have a lot more power and Torq than the 500 but in a race they are fairly close with the 700 jumping out to a quad to a quad and a half length on the start.
IMO the 700 feels much more powerful on the throttle and I would never go down to a smaller model only up to the EFI advantage in 700 or 800 but I am VERY happy with my machine and its performance.
The 500 Ho is probably going to be your best bang for the buck quad, especially if it comes in EFI next year. BUT if you think you will be modding it to go faster you might as well get the 700 or 800 EFI, IMO.
