I recently mounted a drop rack on my 04 1/2 500 sportsman. It is from Strong-bilt. The mesh and spotwelds are poor but the rack itself seems like it will hold up. It fits 3 drywall buckets in the well. Carries a chainsaw fine and dandy.
It should do well hauling tree stands. I'm leary about getting a dedicated tree stand rack for the fact of what would i use it for the other 10 months of the year. for that matter, i only set and remove stands about once a year.
On another topic, I was speaking to Zman the other day about finding a rear suspension lock. after dicking around for an hour or two on making one i decided to buy the one from Pure Polaris. For $100.00 it just isn't worth trying to reinvent the wheel. It should be in in a week or so.
I have the rest of my sleeve hitch welded up and bolted on. I'll get some pictures posted as soon as i get the lock on.
