Default Brake handle is hard to pull with little braking

I have replaced the front pads and the rear pads are OK. Seems since I replaced the front pads the braking on this SP500 is crappy. I have a good hard handle pressure, just seems that I have to pull the crap out of the thing to get it to stop. Could it be the material of the front pads? It acts just like wet brakes. Anyone else with this problem? Thanks for any help.

I think I got them on eBay. So I think they are aftermarket. Been about a year so I don't recall for sure.

I would bet 5 dolors to 7 donuts it is too hard of a pad, need a softer pad pad for gripp.
