You could get a lot of outlaws for the price of Mattracks...

I called the Mfg, real nice people but that's some cash being asked for tread.

Cost was about 4K with $100 down and delivery in Spring 2001. Production has not started yet as they are modifing the equipment to produce.

Weight was about 100lbs a piece or 400lbs more to the bike of your choice.

They are environmentialy (sp) friendly but they don't look it from the picture in plexiglass. They do show a truck on a golf course with mattracks somewhere at the site, but I've worked with track vehicles in the USMC and have some doubts.

I offered to go to their plant to test a set on my own Traxster, but they have all their research and development locked on, so it was a no.

They are not a set of tires, and for the price being asked, I either want to try them at my cost for myself, see them in action with someones else's evaluation, or buy them from a dealer who can fix or help fix when they break. There's alot going on in them there tracks, not for the new kids.

I think they have great potential on the big quads at 500cc and above and I'd bet they'll look great on that new Kaw650 as well.

Maybe certain clubs could get a pool going and put a set on the best quad as a mascot of the club?

You could even open your own mud hole with a guarentee to mudders..."Never get stuck"

Endless oppourtunity

I bet they would go about anywhere, but the cost...I got a very nice used snowmobile for half that...and won't freeze as soon in the snow...but in mud...nah, still costs too much for me. VERY interesting, though. I would be curious as to how they would work.

I wonder how those on a regular 4x4 would compare to a SP 6x6 with rear tracks?

Just watched the tape. It was the video of hummers and pick-ups with the system. They were going through some pretty mean lookin' goo.

They look amazing but at $4000.00 US for a quad, I have to really think about it. Thats equvalent to about 6000 Canadian loonies...the price of a new quad, give or take a couple grand.
