25" vs 26" Mudrunners on Polaris Models.

I know what stiffer springs and heavier tires can do to a machines ride and I am trying to stay away from that while maximizing traction.
In 1995 our family had two 95 Polaris quads in rapid succession. The first was an Xplorer, with soft Dunlops and the magic carpet ride springs. The second was the Sportsman 400 with the Goodyear tracker P's and the heavy duty springs.
The difference was like night and day. After we got the Sportsman the magic carpet ride was gone. It bounced on the bumps over 25 MPH and just could not be riden as fast as the Xplorer but the load carrying capacity was way up there. You could put 200 lbs on the front rack. 300 lbs in the middle and another 200 on the rear rack and still drag a deer. The rear spring was so stiff that we took it out and replaced it with an Xplorer standard spring but we left the front ones
alone.
The main reason that I bought the Polaris Magnum was for the ride and the automatic. I do not wish to stiffen the suspension or the ride with unforgiving tires (run flat EMTs etc.) and heavy duty springs. I don't have to be the monster master mudder. I just want to make a respectable showing.

I used to want to be the "baddest" mudder with the "baddest" machine. Even without the 26" Mudrunners I still am. The ride is much better now. The tires do feel less durable than the Mudrunners but that is to be expected. Three months ago I would not have even perceived the difference.
All I can say is the Bearclaws go great and traction is much better. Much better than stock.I am finally 100% content.

Led,
Yes,the tires are the same as the Sportsman, same size to.I cant make a comparison on my quad because my stock tires have never been rode on.I can compare it to other stock Polaris 4x4 quads though.I have ridden other stock Polaris quads and the traction is much more superiour with the Mud runners,
