warn winch not working at all
#1
i had an elctrical problem with my 700 efi a couple of weeks ago, got it back runs great. but i was playing with my winch and have no response from it. took the winch off the and am going to replace the terminals because the bottom post (the yellow) on the winch was rusted, corroided and slightly bent up. but put my circuit tester on the winch post and have no light. when i have the machine running and push on the out button i just hear a click, but hear nothing when i push on the in button. i have power from the battery to the contactor but have no power to or from the yellow or blue.
1) is the yellow or blue supposed to have power when the in or out is pushed.
2) could it be a syloniod that isn't working properly.
3) i plan on cleaning all the terminals and connections, could excessive dirt and water be disrupting the electrical flow.
4) could the electrical short i had a couple weeks ago have had an additional problem such as the syloniod
5) last week when i went into so deep water (just below the front rack) could some water have made its way into the winch itself and effect the winch. and if i take the two bolts at the end of the cap out, what will i have to worry about.
thanks for any help

i took the sylonoid apart and one of the magnet pieces was rusted open and burned up the syloniod and possible the electric motor to the winch. i will not know that until i get a new syloniod unless there is a way to put ac power to the motor some way. but i read some where on here someone mounted his in his trunk and i am going to take a look into that because of all the water that i go through. does anyone know how power the winch say possibly with a battery charger or any other way. and has anyone had the same problem or ever had to replace a syloniod.
