Has anyone seen or used the new Mud Lite XTR's? I like the looks of the rims but I'm kinda unsure about the depth of the tread on the tires. Thanks in advance for any info.

I have them on my 800. They make a difference in handling. I have already had to get 2 tires due to "the pinch" from the beadlock style wheels. They are the same style as my stock 800 wheels. 1 front and 1 rear. I didnt think I would have the same problem in the rear but it happened when a friend used my machine this weekend. Overall the things are great looking and handeling, but I can tell these tires are going to be filled with plugs if it continues like this. I am looking at getting type 4 rims with some 589's.

You're talking about the 14" C-Series type 7 rims right? I figured that radials were a little more hardy than that.

Wouldnt the larger rims have a better chance of getting hit and bent on a stump or rock with the same size tire on a smaller rim. Ive got 12" C Series and personally wouldnt go any bigger. Also a 2" diameter of tire more weights alot less than a 2" taller aluminum rim. Dont see any beifits other than the "Bling" factor but lets face it when its covered in 3 feet of mud or water who cares.

My 2 cents

They have a shorter sidewall for better handling but MAY be damaged easier because of this.
