Default Polaris clutch's; ruined one, got questions

I came across a bottom end to replace in dad's 400 (94 400L 2wd) after the piston broke and busted the cases.

After getting it all put back together and riding it for a while (about 2 tanks), the bolt that holds the clutch on came loose and galded the inside of the clutch. Upon further inspection, there is a small burr on the end of the crank that would have prevented the clutch from fitting on the shaft properly. Took a file and smoothed the shaft back up the but the clutch appears to be a lost cause.

I see one on Ebay that came off a 350 (91 model 4wd). Can any of you tell me if it will fit or not? I've looked at microfiche's of both models and there is minor differences inside the clutch, but they are minor.

I sure would appreciate it some of you can confirm this or not.

And one last question, got a ballpark $$$ on a used one? If I do bid, got a range I should not go over?

Thanks, Kyle

I appreciate the help you've given me in the past from this infrequent visitor of these fantastic forums.

The clutches are interchangable from the 250 up to the 700. Are you sure it is messed up and its not the plastic bushing that is missing. You can find primary clutches on ebay all day long. If you only found 1 then you need to change your search.

When the bolt came loose, it allowed the clutch to spin on the shaft and it is all galded inside the clutch. Dad said he tried to hone it out but..... I still haven't looked at it since he did that.

Are your referring to the plastic bushing that goes on the bolt? Got it.

he's right, there must be a white plastic bushing in there to fix
through the clutch bolt right after the spacer's end.
cheap item but must not been forgotten to fix the bolt dialed-in.
