there is going to be a trip to the mounds on sunday may 15th along with a group cookout if anyone is interested. the mounds opens at 12:00 on sundays and you'll probably want to be a bit early because it's the first day this season for all 200 acres to be open due to the rework of the land/trails. the cookout is going to be sort of a dish to pass thing.

If anyone wants to take a trip to Bull Gap memorial weekend let me know I am trying to plan a trip and to get some of the local michigan riders together so we can all meet and ride. the trip started out on MDS and can be tracked/viewed there at the link below. let me know if your interested in going, I am going to see if my father-in-laws cabin is available for memorial weekend and if so there will be extra space to sleep/stay.

The sand hill parking lot would be a good place to meet east of Mio.

Hey silverbullet2005. I'd love to go. Seems my wife scheduled us a trip to Chicago for a graduation. LOL, I trying to figure a way to worm out of that. We'll have to see. Bummer is that we have been grounded for the last few weekends because we need new tires on the RV and I'm still trying to figure what to put on it.
Thanks for keeping us updated.

I just edited the topic and added the ride trip to the mounds for this sunday. it should be a fun day for riding and the cookout, the whole place has been reworked so the trails and land should all be good and sunday may 15th is the first day for all 200 acres to be open for this season.

Hey silverbullet2005. My wife and I will be at the Mounds on Sunday. We are looking forward to meeting you guys. I'll look for your silver pickup and your quad when we get there. We will be in a Silver Turtle with a red covered trailer with graphics. Will you guys be meeting in the main parking or the overflow?
See yu then

sweet, sounds good bryce. I am planning on getting there right when they open at noon so that I can get a parking spot next to the pavillion. I am bringing a large pan of baked beans to pass for the cookout. see ya there, should be a fun day but may be a bit wet and muddy but thats ok. It'll give the new Mudlites a chance to break in the right way.

Sure is cool to see a few local Flint riders on here. So is this a Polaris rider only outing? Do you guys care if i drop in and say hello? I used to ride Polaris for 10 years, but now I ride a Kawasaki Mojave. I usually ride alone near my house, as all my friends that used to ride have given up the sport. Anyway, I've never been to the Mounds, but would like to check it out. By the way I'm 25 and live in Grand Blanc.

come one come all. We would love to have everyone out for the ride/cookout.

this is not a polaris ride only it's for all makes and models and anyones friends and family. I am bringing a package of brats and the baked beans. my cousin chuck is coming also but I don't think he plans on staying for the cookout because his wife is cooking dinner.

Thanks for the invitations guys, but I gotta pass on this one. Forgot, my dad's birthday party is today. Post it the next time you guys are headed out, I'd like to make it out. Have fun today, judging from the rain we got yesterday and overnight, should be pretty soupy out there!!! But I see you guys ride those big utilities so that's right up your alley I bet! Those Sportsman 700's are a sweet machine, a neighbor has one, just loves it to death. In the mean time I'll stick to my little Mojave, it's all I can afford right now!! Have a great time guys, give us a full ride recap later on.
