Default Need help changing Rear Bearings on my 1998 Xplorer 400.

I am changing all the bearings I can on my 1998 Xplorer 400. 3500 miles of muck seems to have seized up a couple already.

I am having a problem with the rear bearings in the axle carrier. Axle is out and sprocket/chain assembly is out of the way. How do I get the bearings out?

Plus, what other bearings would you guys recommend changing besides the ones for the front wheels and the rear axle?

Thanks!

Get a long punch and drive them out from the opposite side. That's about it for bearings. The swingarm has some bushings in them, just check the side to side play,if it doesnt rock, you should be ok.

I have the good old 3 chain system.... what about where the two front chains intersect and also where the two front drive shafts meet? Any bearings there?

Thanks, still trying to get bearings, seals and spacers out of the axle assembly... not too easy.
