I think if a person like me complains about polaris once in a while then I should also say something nice when the occasion arises. A while back when my 2000 polaris xpedition 425 cc 5 speed
had bad rear axle bearings and polaris was finally called they paid for the parts and labor and no argument because it was missing a spacer between the bearings. Well I called my polaris shop today and they finally put in my new black box, reverse actuator. Polaris paid for the part as it was a factory flawed part. no arguments. thank you polaris.. I have had the atv now for 18 months and the warranty is long since gone. I thought that was thoughtfull of polaris and see they do stand behind their name. rangerchet

Glad to see they took care of you. I have said all along it is the dealer that can make or break the manufactures reputation. Polaris will listen if you have a legitament complant.

I agree a local riding buddy had some trouble with his Magnum, he rides in allot of mud, has 27 inch vamps with a highlifter lift kit, he broke a front axle and the dealership he bought it at said no way they would warranty it , due to the bigger tires and the way he rides, he called Polaris, they called the dealer and said warranty it! He asked Polaris if he could bring it to another dealership, and they said no problem, they told him on the phone it is a 4 wheeler, it is made for that type of stuff. So when your dealer gives you the run around call Polaris they will take care of you. I emailed them about a 1989 Indy sport of my Girlfriends, i know little about it so they emailed me back in 3 days and said the spec sheet was in the mail! it came a couple days later, I mean they took the time to send me a copy of the specs for a 1989 Indy Sport.
Everytime I have emailed them they have gotten back to me in 4 days or less and always with a answer. there answer for the 700 was that it was a Rumor but that was even before word of the HO was out. Polaris has by far been better to me than any other manufacturer I have ever dealt with bar none. I am proud to own there stuff.

Xepathfinder: Did your friend tell Polaris he had on a lift kit? We have orders that state absolutly no warranty will be given on drive line parts if a lift kit is installed. I think the first dealer was probably following procedures.

Rangerchet, you have a good dealer there. Its nice to here that. Good & honest dealerships are hard to find nowadays.

The Polaris dealer in our town has a less than desirable (bad) reputation, that was one of the main factors in my decision not to purchase Polaris.

I think he took it off put smaller tires back on it to be honest I talked to him last night about it. Though the dealer told Polaris he had oversized tires on it , but I guess they did not know about the lift. Or did not see it so could not be 100 percent sure if he had one or not. I have to admit after thinking about it, the dealer was right in a way i mean he put 27 inch tires and a lift on it the first week he had it, it was bound to cause trouble for him. He rides hard big time hard, he had a Big Bear before that, same thing could not keep it going, there is riding then there is torture, they beat there machines to break them, they don't really trail ride , they ride to a mud hole and play in it all day and leave, he is in wonder of the 1700 miles i have ridden, but i like to trail ride it is common for me to go 75-100 miles on a ride, those guys might go 15. His machine is a 2000 and it looks like it could be a 1975 model. He really has no right to bitch.
