Default SP Problems...

My 2000 SP 500 has a problem, the electronics dont work. Brand new battery #2, and still nothing. Even when the bike is running, nothing works. Now I know everything is hooked up correctly and I havent come acrossed any shorts in the system, so what is wrong? I've heard it may be a bad rectifier? Or voltage regulator, which I thought was the same thing. Can anyone help?

not quite the same thing... a voltage regulator regulates how many volts go into the appliance thus its name

a rectifier is like a one way valve almost lets voltage go only one way
