Local Dealer SUCKS (RANT) - You too?
The dealer I bought my first bike from (Raptor 660) were pretty unprofessional in every step of the process. When I decided to upgrade to the YFZ, I decided to got to Tejas Yamaha in Highlands, TX. I had heard good things re: this local dealer and it was all true.
I let them do all my upgrades and then took possession of the bike. I then brought it in for the High comp piston to be put in and the next day I broke a valve. That valve ended up costing around $2200.00 worth of damage. Since it was modded....it did not fall under the manufacturers 6 month warranty. Whether or not faulty installation of the piston was involved, Yamaha basically gave me a new engine and did'nt charge me one red cent! You can't ask for better service than that...definitly going beyond the call!

Sounds exacty like my experience. Great sales, no service. The one time I took it in for a "recall" item, they didn't fix the problem and created a few it didn't have - and it only took em 3 weeks for a 20 minute job. Makes me want to open my own dealership.
