I currently have a 250 Xplorer, I am interested in some additional headlights. The factory one is just slightly above the front rack, and any gear carried on that rack of course blocks it. Which ones and why?????
Thanks

i was in the process of having my dealer make me mounts for under the racks for some lights but then I ended up trading it. We could not find much for it, but there are lights that will work you might need to get brackets made. I too needed light that were under the rack, it sucked to try to carry anything up front.

You might take a look at some Scrambler lights and mount. It's up on the handle bars, so it would probably be over your gear. Also, it'll swing with the handle bars to light up where your steering too, rather than where the front of the bike is pointed.

I fabricated a bracket that hold a set of driving lights that shine THRU the upper and lower bars of the Polaris front bumper on mine ( each side of the winch brackets). The front basket catches the light from the pod light, so the lower driving lights work great in conjunction with the factory fog lights.

Hi cappy
What i found was that any of the rectangular driving lights that you can purchase from parts stores come with the pivoting brackets that can be mounted over or under your rack.. This is what i purchased and mounted them on the top corners but they could have been just as easily mounted on the underneath.Hope this helps

Thx

Polarx250,
Hey Im trying to find as many different places to ride within an hour of where I live. I have ridden Buffalo MTN outside Johnson City and ran into some guys from your neck of the woods. Any great places you know about that would be worth the ride.
thanks Cappy...

I went to Highlifter and bought their Dual Daylight Kit. They are 2 55 watt halogen lights that come with mounts, wire, and connectors. One word for them..........BRIGHT. Go check out all there stuff at www.highlifter.com , and if you are ever in the chat room at highlifter I am known as Vamped_6x6.
Later,
Ryan
