I guess you havent been checking in to actually buying a Hyabusa, because if you had you would know that its actually a GSX-1300R. Due to its almost 1300cc engine, not 1000. thanks

Dude! Haven't you ever heard of Google??? It took about 30 seconds to find this

If you can sit at a computer and type, you ought to be able to search. It ain't rocket science

If a person can take a stock Honda Civic and make it go 100mph, I assume we all have had some POS car that we drove really fast when we were younger, then why cant we hop up a 400cc motor make it have roughly the same HP (85 for a stock Civic) and expect something that is way smaller and way lighter to go faster????

Default 120mph on a quad??

As I stated in an earlier post in this thread, it's all about the aero. A quad with a person on it has a ton of drag. Just look at streetbikes. Even lighter than quads, their top speeds weren't nearly as high before they put fairings on them. Drag is the biggest enemy of speed. Look at a snowmobile from the front. With the driver tucked down behind the windshield, you have a small, very smooth frontal profile. This helps make up for the fact that they lose a significant amount of horsepower turning a big, flat tire over a bunch of slides and springs and wheels. Did you look at the link in my previous post? That guy has 152hp and a motorcycle fairing on his quad and still only hit 116mph with a tailwind. And his return run against the wind was so slow it dragged his average down to 104. It's all about the aero!
