I have everything ready to pull the Front diff assembly out..but how do I get the axles off?

It's supposed to be just a good tug and they come out, but most folks have a hard time on thier first try. Some people use a pry bar and lightly get it started. My buddy says he ties a length of wire around the yoke and to the weighted end of a sludge hammer then gives it an easy swing and the axle pops out.

My front diff's probably comming out soon, no AWD, maybe a armature or cage. Hopefuly it's something easy.
