whats hpd use in the race mod clutch set up
#1
i need something that egages fairly high. my power kicks in about 3700-3800 rpm. im thinking either S53s with a red spring or s55s with a red/yellow. but i was also wondering what hpd sends in there race clutch set up. im also gettin a 34mm carb and trail lightened flywheel when i get this stuff. my clutch set up now is custom grinded S55s with a hpd brown. its set up to where it egages good but still has a little hesitation. the full shift it is really slow. i can beat a warrior by about a bike length or two through his first 4 gears and then he walks away. the top speed on mine is 58 and his is 60(GPS) so i know its not that. it just takes forever to fully shift out. any help is apriciated. thanks,

Either the HPD Blue or Violet would give you the high stall you're after. My one riding buddy & I put in the HPD Blue in place of the red/yellow that came with the HPD aggressive kit. DON'T use the red/yellow if you want high stall. Yea, for the average person it does fine, but for all out performance it doesn't engage high enough & the engine bogs at take off. Either the blue or violet will get the engine "on the pipe" right away for instant power & response.

what weights do u use with the blue spring? im gonna call rick and have him send me a set of S55s with a red spring (136/242) and a set of S58s with a blue spring(147/285). i think the red with S55s or maybe S53s might be a better set up since it wont engage quite so high since itll just dig a hole in mud. thanks

i talked to dennis and he said with my porting to run a red spring with S58s and for the jetting to run around a 200 main. use the 250 needle and needle jet and teh 400 pilot.
