Man, I was riding with my Uncle on my 00 Trailblazer and he was on his Expedition, and after riding beside me(then right by me!!), his speedo said I was doing a whopping 43 mph!! Is this right for a top speed? I'm not too light at 270 pounds, but still!! Do I have a defect? Also, a stock Blaster will climb a pit wall that I'm lucky to make halfway!!! Anyway, I plan on gettin' a RCR stage 1 kit this winter to help that. Also, does anyone know if the 300 head will fit the TB motor? I see in an EPI catalog that they have the same rod length, so maybe......

Oh ya, if I mount a scrambler headlight kit up, would I need a more powerful stator, or just the hi/low beam switch? Thanks

Not calling you a "lardo" or anything, cause I've got a coupla pounds on you, but, if you want to climb, as heavy as "we" are, you really need a Scrambler.

I weigh 290 and have never been short of power on the Scram. Mine is a 500 4x4 and my buddy has a 400 2x4, and either of them will haul my big **** up any hill that I have the b*lls to try.

I know but I just wanted something inexpensive to trail ride on, but then my friends both bought a raptor and a warrior, so guess who eats whose dust. Oh well, I got em beat in mud anyday, specially since they don't know how to ride in it. RIDE THE TAR, RIDE THE TAR THE say.

Since money is an issue, the simple green spring mod should do well.

Stick with Rick Ritter, as he seems to be the most "down to earth" guy that I have talked to. He'll not make claims that are not true, will steer you away from bad values, and point out what he thinks is right for you, and that means a LOT in this game!

After hearing the AAEN muffler that they claimed as "a little bit louder than stock" (yeah right) AND did not even fit my machine, I am steering clear of them.

BTW, Rick is an AAEN dealer, and again can set you straight. I ordered (and returned) my AAEN muffler before talking to Rick.

our 97 trailblazer was a dog, then I called HPD and got a pipe/clutch kit 100% better very close to a stock 400 in performance.

thanks for all the input!! I'm leaning towards RCR from what I've read in the forums, but does HPD have a webstite? I'd like too explore all my options. By the way, Azelmo, awesome site, I got it book marked!!

Not trying to make anyone mad but I called around
& ask what could be done to make my 250 explorer
run better.I was trying to decide on buying another 250 or a 400,everyone told me the same
thing. They said you can put everything that you
can buy to hop up the 250 but it will never be
a 400.I bought a 400 explorer 3 weeks ago and they
were all right,man am I glad I didn't buy a 2nd
250 instead of the 400!
Good luck on making your 250 run like a 400.

Yeah 43 would be right i bet, I have had a kid on one 17 or so probably 150 ride beside me he wanted to find out his top speed and my speedo said 48. Yeah there is a huge difference between the power of the liquid 400 and the 250 air cooled. The Xplorer 400 would pound my Xplorer 250. As i guess it should.
