The oil lines have been redesigned for all 2000 325 motors and some 2001 models and will be replaced under warranty. Different kits for different models. Check with YOUR dealer.

Bill

Can you post more details? My 325 has about 2 weeks left on the warranty. Should I be calling the dealer to find out if I should be having them replaced? I have not had any trouble with the lines, but I don't want to either. Is Polaris replacing these only if the owner has problems during the warranty period or will they be fixing them all, similar to a recalled part? Sorry for all of the questions, my dealer is generally not real helpful.

Thanks for the heads up ChopperBill. I have three week old 325, and would like to know if I should contact the dealer or is it only if I encounter problems.

Doesn't matter if its in warranty or not, all machines with old style oil lines will be replaced. They were used on all "00" machines and some serialed numbered "01". The serial numbers vary so greatly on "01" that is why I said see your dealer. All dealers are supposed to contact the customers but it may not happen if your dealer went out of business or what ever.

I finally got a hold of a human (darn recorder) at my dealer and the service guy told me that he had heard nothing about a retrofit kit for the 325 (big surprise, they are idiots). I am going to email Polaris and see if they will tell me anything about it. If you have any specific details, can you please email them to me or post another reply. Thanks for all the help Bill.

Dont know what else to say the service bulletin has been out a couple of days and I talked to a service rep several weeks ago telling me this was coming. There are two different styles of line kits. They both come from the filter area. One style has the hoses going to the same side of the cooler and the other style goes to oppisite ends. Sorry I cant work the warranty from this end or I could help you more. If anyone has a 325 Xpedition there is still a diffenent kit.

Thanks for all of your help. I do wish I could bring it to your dealership, but a little far away. Not to keep asking dumb questions, but is their some sort of service bulletin number that I can tell my dealer about so they can look it up? I also emailed Polaris. Hopefully they will respond with some additional details about the line refit.
