Default Fluids

I was changing the transmission fluid on my 2004 SP500 HO today and when i pulled the plug on the right side it was kinda of a purple fluid coming out. The new stuff that Polaris gave me was gearcase oil that wasn't even close to the same color. Did they give me the right stuff?? I would appreciate any help.

Thanks
Ty

I don't know about the Polaris stuff because I refuse to use any oem lubes, but it is a chaincase and requires chaincase lube just like the snowmobiles. I use Amsoil Series 2000 Chaincase Lube

Did they give you angle drive fluid? it's like regular gear oil. The chaincase lube (tranny fluid) Is purple and pretty thin

When I asked the dealer for transmission fluid they gave me one quart of ATV GEARCASE LUBRICANT part # 2873602.

The old fluid that I drained out from the plug on the right side of the transmission was purple but the new stuff isn't. It is pretty thin. I'm not sure if they gave me the right stuff. Any help appreciated.

Thanks Again
