yes, there is a quick fix, take all the crap on your keychain off and just use the key to your machine...the problem is that you have a bunch of crap on your key chain and it is hitting the gas cap....

use just the key, no keychain or any other keys...

I want to say impossible...but then again...

how is it possible that the key is turning off the ignition, what is rubbing....the only thing that I have ever seen this on is when people have extra keys and it hits the gas cap....there is no other way that the ignition could turn off without something hitting the key....then again

impossible? haven't you learned that that word doesn't exist anymore...lol..i will take a picture of my bare key if you don't believe me...anyway, the key is rubbing the gas cap and cutting it off when i turn right..i guess that my pod has been bent down and needs to be pulled back up, i sure wish these ignition were located higher on the pod...hmm...guess i will take the pod off and see what the deal is....

How much play does your throttle have in it,
The ETC might be the problem

Has the bike been rolled or taken a hard hit on the headlight pod?
sounds like you can bend the pod's mounting bracket up to stop the contact.

This was a constant problem on my bike also. It happened a few times when I was climbing a hill and having to turn at the same time it was just a pain but the easy fix is just use your ignittion key nothing else on it. The lone key does not come in contact with your fuel tank cover
