jimk i was wondering will a 2 pulse tach work on my 330 4-stroke or will a 6 pulse because there is two on ebay off of snowmobiles and you say that yours is 6 pulse and yours is 4-stroke so that might work but what about the 2 pulse tach will it work properly on my bike so i have a polaris tach

No the 2 pulse will not work, a 6 pulse system is used on all the four stroke engines. A 6 pulse tach is needed for proper function.
On the 2 stroke 250's & 400's a regular car tach from Autozone will work when set on the 4 cyl. setting, but the 4 strokes run on a totally different firing system.

oh, by the way bob, if your sunpro tach decides not to work, Auto Meter also makes powersports tachs and spedometers. I myself would trust Auto Meter more than i would sun pro, i have dealt with AM before, i have guages of theirs in my 57' chevy. The website for those is http://procycle.autometer.com/ If that helps any.
