I sometimes ride in the mud with big tires, an I need the lift. Other times I ride in the mountains, and the lift is not beneficial.

So, I have modified my lift so I can install or remove in about 15 minutes.

I took the spacers and cut them in half vertically. To install them, all have have to do is:
1) Jack up the bike
2) Loosen strut housing
3) Push a-arm down to relieve spring tension
4) Put spacer below sping, and secure with hose clamp
5)lift a-arm back up and position strut in housing as desired
6) Tighten Strut Housing

Done

This is easy enough that it only takes an extra 10 minutes to do when switching from big tires to samll tires. The bike is already jacked up and the tire is out of the way.

Greg: There is even a simpler way. Buy another Polaris so it is set up for that particular days activities.

Chopper,

You are a very wise man. Your suggestion is under consideration.

Are lift kits hard to install?

POLARISMAN TRI/BI CLAW COMBO IS A POTENT SETUP ON THE SPORTSMAN. GREG HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN RUNING THE LIFT LIKE THAT? DO YOU THINK IT WILL GIVE YOU ANY PROBLEMS ON HARD LANDINGS?

I'm a little confused here. The spacer obvoiusly must be split to take of/on? This spacer then keeps the "shock" from going fully into the strut housing?

Or is the spacer simply a coil spring spacer that puts more preload on spring, but does not increase suspension "topped out" height.

Any pics? and what about rear?
