Default HPD chain tensioner question

I am thinking about getting one but I am concerned about it snagging when going over a downed tree or rock crawling or general trail obstacles. Any of you that have one have any snagging issues? Thanks.
It will be going on a Scrambler 500.

Default HPD chain tensioner question

Mine has only hit something one time. It got a little bent but it went right back with a little effort. It happened going up "carnage" at the cliffs. Lots of big logs, branches, large rocks, ect.. About the worst terrain you will ride through. Other than that one time I have never had a problem with it. Would highly recomend it!

Default HPD chain tensioner question

The gliders for the chain are junk and will not pertect your chain at all. I always took mine off my bikes and bought a chain tensioner case if you do alot of trail riding, it will happen sooner or later. You can buy a chain tensioner at www.rittercycle.com for $55.00
