500 ATP vs 660 GRIZZLY

Well I have to brag on my buddy's 500 atp. He successfully tore up a 660 Grizzly. They were arguing about whose atv was more powerful and tougher. So to settle the 2 friends down we hooked a tow strap between the 2 atvs. ATP had ITP mudlites and the Grizzly had 589's. The tugging area was a muddy logging area. On 3 they started yanking in low range. Neither of them could drag each other 2 far either way, well that is till the Grizzly ripped the front axles out. After breaking his axle another friend hooked his grizzly with 26" dirt devils up to him. Well that resulted in the same thing. This buddy broke his rear axle out of his. So I decided to hook my 700 efi with stock tires on it at the time and neither of us could pull either out of our tracks. I guess I had the HP over the 500atp and he had the tires so it was pretty equal. Just wanted to brag about a polaris breaking 2 yamies in just a few moments of tugging.

The extra wheelbase helps the ATP too. I think the ATP is one of the most under rated ATV's out right now. It's definitely a niche market, but if more people would give it a chance they would be impressed the hauling/towing capabilities and tight turning radius (tighter than a Sportsman). And when riding it, it doesn't feel like a dump truck. The straight axle makes it feel quite sporty.

JAMIEZ71, I have a hard time believing your story, post some picts of it. Also, hooking two ATV's together like that is very unsafe, many people have been killed by doing that.
