2006 Sportsman 500 De Evolves !
#1
I am having a hard time understanding why Polaris removed EBS and the PXT Tires from the 2006 Sportsman 500 Carb.
This makes NO sense to me at all.
People who want EFI will gladly pay $300 extra without the extra enticement of a tire upgrade and EBS. Many people paid $600 extra last year for the 700 EFI.
In my opinion the PXT Tires are the best stock tire there is. Why put anything less on your flagship quad?
If Polaris doesn't want the carb quad anymore, then why offer it. Maybe it will be phased out after 2006.
Even if that's true, I don't know why you would remove ebs and good tires. This make no sense to me.
Anyone care to comment on this.

If you can't afford the "new" one , they will sell you the old and skimp on a few good features to make a little more on you. (won't help them in shoot outs vs. other carb models) $ vs quality and value. It would seem like a clear intention on phasing it out. I don't know why you would'nt spring for the EFI when your already out of the entry level price range.

Pout,
I saw on the features page they list pxt, but on the specs page they don't. On the spec pages of the other models they list the size, then add the ",pxt" after the size.
Like you said they did list the different size on the spec page.
So who knows for sure. It's inconsistent.
