Hi all, Does anyone have a copy of the install instructions that come with the warn winch package from polaris for the 2005 Sportsman. I think they may come in handy in locating the preinstalled wires on my 700.
If you could forward a link or email them to me I would greatly appreciate it.
My email address is: killerrats704@optonline.net

Thanks, Bill

I have just purchased a 2005 sportsman that is prewired and have the same question as above, can you or anyone help me with the directions or manual information for hooking up a winch to this prewired system? Where are the wires located? How do you find them?

i installed i warn winch myself it was very easy. under headlight pull up cover, also open front rack storage and remove center access there also. i believe there are 2 wires there taped up. i think purple and yellow. those go to contact. also right fender above tire you should see an aluminum splash guard. you will need to remove that and install contact there. wires should reach to hook up. remove seat and there should be a spare wire with yellow tape on it that is power to contact. do you have a warn for polaris kit? if so i can email you instructions.

If you could PLEASE email the same to me I would greatly appreciate it! I just purchased a Warn 3.0 ci and thought I was getting the polaris instructions - it only came with the regular installation instructions.

Thanks!
