i just installed my T-MAX winch on my 05 sp800 i have read the replies on here and people have said that if you dont get the polaris winch that is prewired you will have to do alot of extra wiring. I used the batt. and ground wire that was already there where you mount the contactor and ran the wire to the handle bar switch and it works fine .
just wondering if i did it right?

Yeah you got it, However for mine, (milemarker) the terminals on the contactor were located in
different locations so I had to cut off that molded piece on the end of the existing wires.
One of the wires was then too short so I had to replace it.

Later, Bill

I just bought a new winch for my 06 500 X2, and I also only have the generic install directions. I have mounted the winch, but I would like to use some of the prewire stuff. Could I have those directions too?

By the way is Ebay the best place to buy Warn winches or is there a better place?

Hey,

I need the instructions for installing my Warn 2500 RT winch onto my 2005 Polaris 500 HO. Does anyone have the instructions they could send me? I would greatly appreciate it!

My email is fredn@ufl.edu

Thanks a bunch!
