im going to be getting a tire and rim kit for my sportsman, but i would like a good mud tire more than anything but i would also like something thats decent on a trail also. im leaning toward the Goodyear Mud Runner with the Douglas Rokstar rim, or the Rawhide. Does anyone have any experience with the ITP Mud Lite XTR radials? i can only get those in 26" though and i dont want to have to put a lift kit in, is there another good tire anyone recomends?

 

The Goodyear mud runners were the best tire I have owned to date! Then again, all I care about is if they will run flat once something
does penetrate them!!! They make two models the run flat and the regular model, the regular model will still run flat without beating the living bgesus out of you.

Yes, The only complant would be at 3 MPH there is some vibration on pavement. They were great in the snow, any dirt trail, rock climbing, mud, stump pulling Etc.

those are another one i had my eye on, but the XT's with the deeper lug only come in 26" or bigger.

 

Pro have you seen the new 14" aluminums with the kendra bounty hunters? I rode a 800 with them and it was sweet and they do good on the trail and mud...The guy that has them rides with us....good price too on ebay breese lawn and garden is the dealer..good selection of stuff for the sporty

I'm with "Perky".......Check out the 14" Vision cast aluminum wheel/Kenda all terrain radial tire package that Polaris packaged specifically for the Sportsman. You can see it on the Polaris website under ATV accessories. The tires are 26"x10" in front and 26"x12" in back.......again 14" rims. 26" tires will fit the Sportsman w/o any issues what-so-ever. I will have a set on my Sportsman in about 2 weeks.

 

i think ive narrowed it down to either the Goodyear Mud runners or the Rawhide grip's!
