Please help, Im going nutZ. Almost everytime I run my 03 500 HO in some water or mud holes it stalls, wont rev, and feels like the motor is being cut off when I put it under load. It takes some time before woking right again.
Please HELP !!!!!

 

maybe check the seal on your clutch cover it sounds like your getting water in there...

 

No Im not getting any water in my clutch. I open the drain and nothing comes out.
It feels like something electronic is getting wet and causing this.

 

You might try some dielectric grease aroung your spark plug wire where it goes on the plug and coil.

How fast are you hittin the water you can be gettin water in you air box it happens all the time to me on my 700

 

Will it do it under load other than in water like in heavy dryer mud or in sand? Does it sound like it does in reverse without the override button pushed??

 

It DOES sound like the ignition is being retarded. Once the problem starts I can get it started and it will idle, until I try to start to move in gear. Thats when it cuts out.

 

It sounds like it is choking or running rich. Can you smell raw gas when this happens? Run your finger in the tail pipe is there black soot? Air filter plugged or dirty? Did it just start to do this in the warm weather?

 

I would like to know if the two multi pin plugs on the lower right side of the trans could do this when wet. What do these plugs do?
